Meet Dr. Gerald C. Bevers

Dr. Bevers is a native of West Texas, having grown up on a farm in Terry County. He made the decision to become a dentist at the age of 13. He attended South Plains College in Levelland, Texas for 2 years, transferred to Texas Tech University, and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry in 1973. He was accepted into the dental program at The University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio in 1975. He received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1979. He has practiced dentistry in Lubbock from 1979 to the present.

His primary focus is out patient oral surgery. He has honed his knowledge and skills in oral surgery though many years of continuing education and personal study. Dr. Bevers offers ALL DENTAL SERVICES and has a long history and wide range of skills in the dental field!

In 1993, he completed a comprehensive American Dental Association approved course in IV Conscious Sedation at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.

After completion of the training, he felt that more formal training was necessary in Emergency Medicine and airway management. He enrolled in the Paramedic program at Texas Tech University and completed the program in 199. He then worked part time as a medic for Lubbock EMS for 10 years. He left the Lubbock EMS in 2009 because he felt he had gained more than enough experience and knowledge in dealing with all types of medical emergencies. His goal was to be a good medic, but an even better dentist.

Dr. Bevers has completed many hundreds of successful office surgery cases using local anesthesia and IV Sedation. Emergency drugs, equipment and trained personnel are on site and immediately available should they be required.
